Self Lubricating magnet wires have higher lubricity, thus helping to improve work efficiency during winding and coil insertion. They offer lower co-efficient of friction and better scrape resistance.
This is achieved by a special overcoat using enamels like polyamide or polyimideamide system. These self-lubricating magnet wires have good mechanical strength, thermal shock resistance and excellent surface slip characteristics, making them suited for high-speed winding.
